Francesco started practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Florence and New York in 2003/2004, then explored other and more traditional yoga systems, in a lifelong training perspective. After many years of deep practice and individual studies he started teaching Ashtanga into some Florentine yoga studios, special classes focused on the execution of the primary series postures, bringing practitioners into a deepen perspective and awareness. Being a professor of Sociology at the University of Urbino he felt natural to start teaching yoga and move those skills into a yoga studio. He completed his three-years Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in 2010 (200RYT) and got a certification as Pilates matwork instructor in 2018. He loves teaching strong classes with respect of anyone’s body and how to connect mind and body while practicing yoga, especially vinyasa styles. He is one of the first instructor who moved Ashtanga into gyms and sport centers in Florence, where Hatha yoga was dominant. He is pretty much interested in anatomical aspects of the practice and in discovering how yoga could be practiced even over injured bodies, on how yoga can help people, bodies and minds not that prompt to exercises, or to practice any kind of gym. He teaches ashtanga modified and traditional classes, hatha yoga, hatha flow, power yoga, pilates matwork and low-impact gym, as well as individual yoga classes and workout. Recently he’s developing an individual project to bring yoga practice into local artful locations, like museums, galleries, rooftops, fashion stores, monumental apartments, gardens and such.
